ScoreGenius Support

ScoreGenius is a simple, live-updating scoreboard app — start a game on one device, share the join code, and every connected device (iPhone or iPad) shows and controls the same score, timer, and settings in real time.

Getting Started

When you first open ScoreGenius, you'll see two options:

• Start a New Scoreboard — generates a 6-character join code for a brand-new scoreboard.
• Join a Scoreboard — enter a code someone else shared with you to connect to their scoreboard instead.

Anyone with the join code can view and control that scoreboard — there's no account or sign-in required.

Changing the Score

Swipe up on either side of the screen to add a point for that team, or swipe down to subtract one. Every connected device updates instantly.

Using the Timer

• Tap the clock to start or pause it.
• Press and hold the clock for about half a second to reset it to its starting duration.
• The circular reset icon next to the clock resets both the timer and both teams' scores back to zero.

Settings

Tap the gear icon to open Settings, where you can:

• Rename each team and change their colors
• Set the timer's duration
• Turn on negative scores, if you need them
• Show or hide team names on the display
• Start a new scoreboard or join a different one, without leaving the app

Sharing with Other Devices

Tap the join code shown on screen to share it — anyone who opens the link (or types in the code manually) will connect to your live scoreboard.

Troubleshooting

Scores aren't updating on another device. Make sure all devices are connected to the internet and are using the same join code. Check the "Connecting…" indicator at the top of the screen — if it doesn't disappear after a few seconds, try leaving and rejoining the scoreboard from Settings.

I forgot my join code. Unfortunately, join codes can't be recovered — you'll need to start a new scoreboard. We recommend sharing the code with everyone who needs it right after creating a game.
